This course was helpful in many ways, including how to be more aware of your surroundings. I work for local government, in a front desk position where I deal with members of the public (pre-COVID), and we sometimes get visitors who are 'lost' in one way or another. The body language in particular was helpful for me. The foot stance, the small acts of aggression PRIOR to a fist strike or an act of violence was REALLY helpful for me to acknowledge. Active listening is also very helpful and I also learned a few new things from that lesson. Overall, a very good course and very helpful info! Thank you!

I work at the reception counter for our Sheriff's Office and County Jail so I talk to a wide range of citizens daily. The course was very informative not only on dealing with people but also in a variety of emergency situations. I appreciated the focus on keeping yourself safe. The one area I had trouble was in the reading body language portion I was confused by the video where the man stepped from his vehicle and primarily gave agreeable clues but then the Deputy/Officer moved in to subdue him. Thank you for a good course and I appreciate that I can go back and watch again to refresh my memory.
